I was very encouraged by this posting. For years I have felt like I was different and saw things differently than most, without having the ability to impact the change (mostly in a professional setting). Realizing that there is a shift away from the "information age" and more towards the "conceptual age" is very encouraging. So much so that I may even find myself ahead of the curve.

Thank you for your post Shari.

Unlike my wife Shari, I choose to hedge my bets and use both the left and right hands. Not to say that I am ambidextrous, but I eat and write left handed. The balance seems to be right handed as in playing guitar, pool and sports. I am a left handed mouser and have left the mouse function buttons to the right. I'm even right winged when it comes to politics with a few exceptions for respect of the environment, etc.. I always thought that "high touch skills" were more gender related instead of brain orientation. That being said, I can relate to and play music with emotion but couldn't write a lick of it even if my life depended on it (well maybe yes, under those circumstances). Those engineering job related skills including creativity, empathy, intuition, and the ability to find relationships among seemingly unrelated objects and events is naturally what I excel at!... Go figure! I even wear the same color socks!!!
