Hello,

I am personally concerned with the direction that teacher pay is headed. Here in California, teachers are taking pay cuts or are getting laid off--almost anything seems preferable to teaching, even if you know it was what you were meant to do. In both sales and teaching you are definitely selling something; but which one will stand the test of time?

Hi,
I found your description of switching from the classroom to sales very interesting. I was pondering the possibility of just that. I taught five years before having children, and now I am at the point of wondering what I am going to do with the rest of my life. I have an undergrad degree and master's in elementary ed, but definitely no sales experience. Can you tell me more about the pressures of this job? The amount of traveling required and what it is really like? Thanks!
